Rotary Club of Silves Takes On 110km Trek for Children’s Early Intervention

The Rotary Club of Silves is calling for community support to raise funds for local children desperately needing help with learning and language difficulties.

On October 10, members of the Rotary Club of Silves will embark on a gruelling 110km, 7-day trek from Monchique to Cabo de São Vicente. Their goal? To raise vital funds for these children in need who risk falling by the wayside.

Many families in the Algarve cannot afford the essential early intervention services their children need to thrive. RC Silves is stepping in to bridge that gap.

The upcoming trek is no easy feat—the terrain is tough, and while many of the participating hikers are over 75, their determination is unshakable. Recent practice walks in severe heat proved demanding, but the team is pushing forward with more training sessions.

We have set a fundraising target of €6000 to secure these vital therapies. We need your help to turn our physical steps into real-world support.
